What training is offered?
This is a clinical anaesthesia training, composed of lectures, workshop, practice in the operating theatres. A fellow spends 6 months in a University hospital, then rotates to work for another 6 months at Ramathibodi Hospital and King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital. The fellow gets hands-on experience and works under supervision. There is an examination at the end of the training. The training is initially aimed for clinical anaesthesia, basic knowledge and practice. However, if the fellow is interested in some subspecialties, this can also be arranged.
How is training assessed?
There are MCQ examination, oral examination, and record of cases.
Are there any specific admission criteria for applicants?
An applicant must be an anaesthesiologist from a developing country, has worked in anaesthesia for at least 3 years, works in a government hospital and will go back to work in his/her own country.
