SAARC is an geopolitical union of the governments of countries of South Asia that include Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, the Maldives, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Founded in 1985. Founded on 8th December 1985 in Dhaka the region comprises 3% of the world's area, 21% of the world's population and 3.8% (US$2.9 trillion) of the global economy, as of 2015. SAARCAA was founded as SACA (South Asian Confederation of Anaesthesiologists) came into existence on November 1, 1991. The first Congress was hosted by Bangladesh from October 27-29, 1993. The congress is held every two years by rotation in the member countries.
Our scientific programme will cover broad range of topics in Anaesthesia, Pain and Intensive Care through lectures, problem based learning, panel discussion and workshops. Our aim is to provide dynamic interaction between the faculty and participants in the form of a programme with rich scientific content.
