Applications now open: WFSA Paediatric Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Fellowship at the Mohammed VI University Hospital in Marrakech, Morocco

Les candidatures sont sollicitées pour les postes de formation en anesthésie-réanimation pédiatrique à l'hôpital universitaire Mohammed VI de Marrakech, au Maroc.
Le centre hospitalier universitaire Mohamed VI de Marrakech comprend 5 hôpitaux. Le stage se déroule à l'hôpital mère-enfant, qui comprend 247 lits, 12 salles d'opération (6 pour l'obstétrique et 6 pour la pédiatrie) et 28 lits de réanimation (13 pour la gynécologie-obstétrique et 15 pour la pédiatrie).
La durée de chaque stage est de 6 mois. Les dates de début sont prévues pour le 1er novembre 2018 et le 1er mai 2019. Le responsable du programme est le Professeur Saïd Younous (Chef de service d'anesthésie-réanimation pédiatrique).
Le programme est destiné aux anesthésistes qualifiés (2 ans de formation minimum) qui souhaitent développer leurs connaissances et compétences dans le domaine de l'anesthésie et réanimation pédiatrique.

Les candidats doivent répondre aux critères suivants:

• Doit de préférence travailler dans un pays africain francophone
• Doit être soutenu dans sa candidature par sa propre société nationale savante d'anesthésie
• Doit être soutenu dans sa candidature par le chef de service / département d'origine
• Doit retourner dans son pays d'origine à un poste reconnu
• Devrait avoir moins de 40 ans
• Devrait de préférence travailler dans un hôpital universitaire.
• La bourse offre un financement pour les voyages à destination / en provenance du pays d'origine du boursier, les frais de scolarité et les frais de subsistance.

Les demandes seront examinées par un panel d'anesthésistes sélectionnés par la WFSA, et les candidats retenus seront informés avant le 15 juin 2018. Les candidats retenus doivent confirmer leur intention de prendre la bourse dans les 2 jours suivant la notification. Si vous ne le faites pas, la bourse sera offerte au candidat suivant.

Applications are invited for the Paediatric Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Fellowship training positions at Mohammed VI University Hospital in Marrakesh, Morocco.
Mohamed VI Marrakesh University hospital includes 5 hospitals. The fellowship will be held in Mother and child hospital which includes 247 beds, 12 operating rooms (6 for obstetrics and 6 for paediatrics) and 28 ICU beds (13 for gynecology-obstetrics and 15 for paediatrics).
The duration of each fellowship is 6 months. The start dates are expected to be 1st November 2018 and 1st May 2019. The programme head is Professor Saïd Younous (Head of the Department of Paediatric Anaesthesia and Critical Care).
The purpose of the fellowship is to enable the fellow:
To acquire the necessary knowledge for the anesthetic management of a child as part of a surgical, radiological or interventional procedure and to acquire the theoretical and practical skills necessary for the management of a child with a serious pathology (learning about emergency management, assessment and transmission and common procedures of resuscitation).The fellowship is intended for fully qualified anaesthesiologists (at least two years) working in settings who wish to develop their knowledge and skills in the field of paediatric anaesthesia and critical care.

Applicants should fit the following criteria:
• Should preferably be working in a francophone country and speaks French
• Must be supported in their application by their own national anaesthetic society
• Must be supported in their application by the chief / head of their home department
• Must be returning to their home country to a recognised post
• Should be under 40 years of age
• Should preferably be working in a teaching hospital.
The fellowship offers funding for travel to/from the fellow’s home country, tuition costs, and subsistence living expenses.
