Palestinian Anaesthesia Teaching Mission (PATM)
PATM provides in-country anaesthesia training for resident doctors in Palestine. Training takes place in hospitals in East Jerusalem and the West Bank.
The programme was started by the Canadian Anesthesiologists’ Society International Education Fund (CASIEF) and WFSA in 2009.
The WFSA continues to provide administrative support and IMET 2000, a UK-based organisation, now generously provides funding and logistics support in the West Bank. The previous programme head was Dr Hafez Sami (USA). The current head of the programme is Dr Abdulsatar Ravalia (UK).

The WFSA assists with the organisation of 6-8 teaching visits per year by volunteer anaesthesiologists. If you are interested in volunteering for one of these teaching visits, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. Please be aware that the minimum committment required is 2 weeks.
