What training is offered?

The training involves recognising, assessing and managing both acute and chronic pain conditions. The fellows will be handling both outpatients in Pain centre and inpatients in the hospital. They will be taught how to pick up the generator, investigate, management involving either conservative or interventional pain management. The interventions will be USG guided or Fluoroscopy guided or CT guided. The academic programmes involve bedside discussions, demonstrations, lectures, seminars and other activities. There will be special sessions on simulators about how to perform interventions in pain management.

How is training assessed?

All fellows will have to maintain a logbook of patients’ consultation, treatment plan, interventional procedures, academic sessions and publications.

Are there any specific admission criteria for applicants?

The Anaesthesiologists from Asia & African continents will have to apply through WFSA.

The medium of instructions will be English. It takes 4 months to complete the approval from Medical Council of India, Visa and other immigration formalities.
